Spend the afternoon enjoying the serenity of the campground lounging in a hammock, reading on your private deck, or exploring our fern canyon loop trail. There is a beautiful walk from the campground to Big River where you can rent canoes and embark on an adventure up river. The same trail will take you to the Mendocino Bay Overlook where you can take in an epic view of the coast … especially nice at sunset.
For those who like fun and games, the Meadow is where you’ll find bocce ball and horse shoes. A large selection of board games and books are on loan in the office. Again with the county’s okay we’ll be offering Yoga Saturday & Sunday mornings at 9:30am and guided hikes with our resident naturalist Saturdays and Sundays at 9am. This is a great opportunity to learn about native flora, fauna and Mendocino history.
