Mendocino Grove combines the beauty of Northern California camping with the comforts of home, creating a unique Mendocino glamping experience. Instead of packing your car to the brim with camping gear, simply arrive and settle into a fully furnished safari tent.
Beyond your campsite, you'll also enjoy thoughtfully designed amenities including luxurious bathhouses with hot showers, sauna, and complimentary bath products and towels. It's an effortless and convenient way to experience the best parts of California camping.

Mendocino Grove is located off of the scenic Highway 1 and Mendocino Coast, just 1/4 mile south of Mendocino Village. From our campground, you'll have convenient access to local shops, restaurants, Big River Beach, and Mendocino Headlands State Park.
We're approximately a 3 hour drive from San Francisco, 3 hours 45 minutes from Sacramento, and 4 hours from San Jose, making us an easy getaway for travelers looking for camping in California or unique places to stay in Mendocino.

The Mendocino Coast can be cool year-round, so we recommend packing warm layers, a jacket, and comfortable shoes. You may also want a beach towel, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a reusable mug. We provide bedding, bath towels, EO organic bath products, lanterns, heated mattress pads, and many of the comforts that make Mendocino glamping so relaxing. Camp Boxes and other camping essentials are also available to rent.

If you need assistance after the office closes, use the call box located on the information board outside the office to reach our campground host or you can call our property number 707.880.7710. In an emergency, please call 911 and provide your tent number.

Yes. One complimentary parking space is included with every campsite. If you're arriving with additional vehicles, please let us know before your stay and we'll do our best to accommodate your group.

Yes. While we encourage guests to disconnect and enjoy their Mendocino glamping experience, designated WiFi areas are available throughout the campground, and a limited number of tents also receive WiFi service. If internet access is important during your stay, please contact us before booking.

Our furnished safari tents include comfortable beds with quality linens, heated mattress pads, bedside lighting with USB charging ports, a lantern, picnic table, Adirondack chairs, a private deck, fire ring, and grill.
These thoughtfully appointed accommodations in Mendocino, CA let you enjoy the outdoors without bringing all of your own camping gear. Camp Boxes and additional camping equipment are also available to rent

Mendocino Grove offers a variety of amenities designed to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Guests enjoy modern bathhouses, complimentary morning coffee and tea, a dry sauna, lawn games, walking trails, communal BBQs, a camp store, dog wash station, and seasonal wellness experiences. Friday Night Dinners and live music are also offered throughout the season.

Yes. During the summer, we host Friday Night Dinners with live music, and each morning guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, cocoa, and offerings at the Meadow Commons.
For lunch and dinner, we recommend bringing a cooler stocked with your favorite food and beverages to enjoy at your campsite. If you need additional supplies, Mendocino Village is just minutes away and offers grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, and local markets.

Absolutely. Every campsite includes a fire ring with a grill, and communal gas BBQs are also available throughout the campground. A shared dishwashing station with hot water makes cleanup easy, and Camp Boxes with cookware and utensils are available to rent.

Yes! Every campsite includes a private fire ring. Firewood is available for purchase and can be delivered directly to your campsite. To help protect California's forests, outside firewood is not permitted. Our Campfire Valets are also happy to help you get your fire started.

Our modern bathhouses bring the comforts of home to your Mendocino glamping getaway. Each features indoor and outdoor hot showers, clean restrooms, EO Marin organic bath products, complimentary towels, and a dry sauna. If you've forgotten an essential item like a toothbrush or hair dryer, our office is happy to help.

One of the best parts of staying near Mendocino Village is having so much to explore just minutes away.
Browse local shops, restaurants, cafés, galleries, and markets, or head outdoors to kayak on Big River, hike at nearby state parks like Mendocino Headlands State Park, or relax ar Big River Beach or Mendocino Beach.

There's plenty to enjoy without leaving the campground. Spend the day hiking our Loop trail, relaxing in the hammock grove, playing bocce ball, badminton, or volleyball, and gathering around your campfire in the evening.
Guests can also enjoy Friday Night Dinners, live music, wellness experiences, and seasonal packages that make every stay unique.

With furnished safari tents, gathering spaces, and a stunning ceremony site, we offer a memorable venue for groups looking to experience the natural beauty of the Mendocino Coast.
Reservations & Policies

Check-in is after 4pm the day of arrival. We ask that all guests register at the office when they arrive. If you are arriving after the office closes (9pm most nights, 8pm May, October, and November), we will have your check-in forms ready and attached to the info bulletin board outside the office. Check out is 11am. Please make arrangements prior to 10am (or the night before if possible) if you will be staying an extra night.

Reservations of four accommodations or fewer may be canceled up to two weeks before arrival for a full refund. Groups of five or more accommodations require 60 days' notice. Because weather is part of the camping experience, we cannot offer refunds for rain, fog, or other weather conditions.

Group bookings of five or more tents require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 60 days before arrival. Additionally, for retreats, we require a non-refundable $350 deposit to reserve your tents and retreat spaces.

Mendocino Grove is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. We recommend storing valuables securely in your vehicle. Weapons outside of a personal camping vehicle are prohibited on the property.

Quiet hours begin at 10:00PM each evening. To help everyone enjoy a peaceful stay, we ask guests to keep noise to a minimum, and amplified music is not permitted.

Dogs are welcome at the campground for an additional fee of $35/night plus tax. Additionally, they must be included in your reservation prior to arrival because we have a limited number of pet friendly tents. We also offer several pet amenities such as a dog park and warm-water dog wash station.

Absolutely. Families love exploring our fern canyon trail, playing lawn games, and gathering around the campfire. Children under six should be supervised at all times, especially near campfires, roadways, and bathhouses.
