Meet Chantelle

Chantelle Sookram is deeply rooted in the farm to table movement, forging connections with farmers and other food producers in her community. She builds menus around what they are growing seasonally and creates opportunities for them to be recognized and supported.

Chantelle is committed to bridging the divide between people and their food—and she does so with delicious ease. Her passion brought her to Nopa SF and later Blue Hill in NYC, both devoted to supporting local food systems and serving fresh, seasonally inspired food. It led her to co-found Love and Vegetables, a 12 year partnership with Earth n’ Us Farm in Florida, where she hosted pop-up dinners and other farm to table gatherings.

Mendocino County’s bounty of food growers—Nye Ranch, Mist Farm, Wavelength Farm, Noyo Food Forest, and so many more—persuaded Chantelle to come to Mendocino Grove. Be sure to join us at her table on weekends and special dates to savor her culinary talents.
